Real Madrid return to winning ways

Real Madrid look to return to winning ways

The Merengues suffered a hard defeat to Girona over the weekend and they will be looking to win against Levante this coming Sunday. Real Madrid began their match against the Catalan side, Girona, on the positive side after scoring the first goal through Casemiro inside 25 minutes. Girona on the other hand going into the second half launches the successful come back and snatched a very unlikely victory at the Santiago Bernabeau.

Real Madrid has been enjoying a rather wonderful run of form before their match against Girona, defeating Atletico in the Madrid derby and beating Ajax in the Champions League. The selection by Santiago Solari have been put into question in regards to keeping this run of form going into the upcoming fixtures.

The upcoming el Classico’s are definitely on the mind of Solari, after observing the starting 11 against Girona with Vicinius and Bale on the bench. The lingering matches against Barcelona and Ajax must be what Solari is most worried about. Santiago Solari along with the Real Madrid supporters would prefer to see their side winning all while going into their big matches against Barcelona in the Copa del Rey semi final and in La Liga.

The upcoming match against Levante could be enough to steer the Merengues ship clear of turbulence before they go into the highly anticipated el Classico. Solari will undoubtedly return Vicinius and maybe Bale into the lineup to gain the three points along with the win for morale.
